THE ORGANIZATION

Founded in 2009, KEYS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, private-public partnership, dedicated to enhancing access to supportive services for low-income residents in San Bernardino County.  KEYS provides an array of services including case management to assist families and individuals in accessing existing resources and services within the County.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Deputy Executive Director, the KEYS Housing Services Manager is responsible for management and supervision of the KEYS Housing Services (HS) Team. Working closely with the Directors, the Housing Services Manager is also responsible for oversight and decision making with respect to the organization's contractual responsibilities including QA audits, financial management, and outcomes for stabilization contracts. This position will also supervise HS Staff to verify the delivery of housing navigation and stabilization services to participants and the effective use of crisis intervention adhering to mandated reporting guidelines, legal, and ethical guidelines.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage Housing Service delivery to ensure that housing navigation and stabilization services are being completed and conducted in accordance with best practices and program contracts.

 

  • Supervise HS staff job performance and ensure that the HS team is consistently using best practices in all customer and landlord interactions (e.g. Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, Trauma-Informed Care, etc.)

 

  • Manage grant and contract activity including progress of grant and/or contract completion, oversight, and coordination with subcontractors, reports, etc.

 

  • Coordinate and collaborate with program partners and/or landlords to increase support networks for housing referrals and linkage with program participants.

 

  • Facilitate regular meetings that support staff development, training, case conferencing, and solution focused case management.

 

  • Provide guidance to HS team for crisis intervention, problem-solving techniques, and feedback to address challenging issues staff and/or participants are facing.

 

  • Ensure services are tracked efficiently by working together with the Deputy Executive Director, and KEYS' Leadership Team to pull reports as needed, and guarantee that consistent data collection within HMIS and other data bases is maintained, conduct on-going program file reviews, and any other monthly, quarterly, and/or annual reporting as contractually required.

 

  • Monitor HS staff compliance with all regulatory and ethical requirements.

 

  • Manage transportation activities of participants and staff. This includes gathering the support documentation for the disbursement of bus tokens, coordination of agency car scheduling/use, and approving staff personal vehicle mileage.

 

  • Provide training, mentoring, and corrective action to HS Staff, as needed to elicit professional, efficient, and ethical job performance, in all areas.

 

  • Participate in interviews and make recommendations for the hiring of Housing Services staff.

 

  • Make recommendations for staff advancement, transfers, wage adjustments, and employment separation

 

  • Participate in agency and community meetings as directed by supervisor

 

  • Any additional tasks, projects, job duties, and responsibilities as may be assigned by Deputy Executive Director or Executive

 

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in social work or a related human services field and 3 years of case management experience. Previous supervisory experience highly preferred.  More than two (2) years' experience of work in the management of homeless services and including experience with homeless individuals and families, veterans, recovery services, stabilization and housing placement services.  Previous experience with program and budget oversight highly preferred.
